The lineup

Six labels, five sizes

Each label comes as a five-size sampler, a pack, and a lacquered box. The green label is rolled in a green candela wrapper and the black in a dark maduro.

From seed to band

How a Sr. Valdes is made

  1. Grown

Leaf is raised organically in Honduran soil and primed by hand, a few leaves at a time.

  2. Cured

Leaves hang in open barns until they turn from green to brown.

  3. Fermented

Stacked in pilones, the tobacco sweats out harshness and deepens in flavour.

  4. Rolled

A torcedor bunches the filler, binds it, and dresses it in the wrapper.

  5. Rested

Finished cigars sit in cedar before they are banded and boxed.
